Thai Nippon Rubber Industry Public Company Limited (TNR) is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and distributors of condoms and lubricating gels with customer bases in more than 100 countries in all continents. It is also the owner of “ONE TOUCH” brand condoms and lubricating which are on sale in Thailand and ASEAN markets.
TNR Bioscience Company Limited (TNRBio) was established in 2021 under Thai Nippon Rubber Industry Public Company Limited to expand the business to herbal extracts from Hemp, Cannabis, and Mitragyna speciosa. Both companies work under the principle of becoming the manufacturer of quality products and striving for the world-class standards.
RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT
TNRBio supports the budget of more than 30 million Baht to Maejo University to conduct research on seeds and develop organic planting which is appropriate for Thailand’s whether. The company is also determined to develop hemp flower products to yield high weight and CBD content while spending low investment per plant. The projects aims at academic development and transfer of planning knowledge and skill to agriculturists to improve and build the standard of hemps as the real economic plant.
LABORATORY
TNRBio realizes the importance of having its own laboratory, hence investing more than 32 million Baht to install the active substance testing machines to verify the raw materials obtained from agriculturists and examine the quality of all production processes to ensure standard and high-quality extracts. It is expected that the company’s laboratory will be certified with ISO/IEC 17025 by Q3/2024.
MANUFACTURING
TNRBio selects to use Industrial Scale Ethanol Extraction System to completely extract active substances from hemps. The system includes Cryogenic Ethanol Extraction technology which uses cold ethanol to quickly extract active substances from hemp flowers. The 3-tower distiller can work fast and the large crystallizer yields the high amount of pure CBD Isolate.
